Our Lil' Veggie Garden

In April,  Derric was given 2 tomato plants and a jalapeno plant for his birthday from my parents.  This was so much fun to watch grow I decided I wanted a full out garden!  So.... for Mother's Day we spent hours getting the area all ready to plant some veggies!  It has been pure joy to watch each and everyday.  Like Christmas every morning I walk outside as soon as my eyes open to see if anything grew over night, when I come home in the afternoons it is also the first thing I do when I walk in the door.
Here are some pictures of the whole thing!!  Okay so here is how it started........ these are Derric's plants

(2Tomato and 1 Jalapeno)!

Our first picking....

This was my mother's day gift from Derric and Hank!

We spent the next day getting our garden ready!
Most we started by seed, those have really done the best.
Is has been a blast so far.... We are getting lots of tomatoes but our squash, cucmbers, and lettuce are also doing awesome!!
Here are all the veggies we have: Garlic, Chives, Lettuce, Cucumber, Cilantro, Sqaush, Asparagus, Red Bell Peppers, Watertmelon, Onions, Tomatoes, Jalapenos, Basil, Parsley, Oregano, and Thyme! Is that cool or what???  Here was our first sprout from the little green house we started some of the seeds in.

A few days in the little covered greenhouse and it looked like this ready to plant into the ground.

Then a few days later it looked like this, what you can see to the left is cuccumbers, and sqaush!
Hank likes to do a little abbra-cadabra on the plants to help them GROW!
We added herbs in the planters above.
A few days later we had gathered enough tomatoes and basil to make this yummy pizza!
It's now one of our favorite dishes.
Here is a few pictures of Hank just because I can't help but show off my handsome little guy!

The End!

We love having a garden too! It's really my husbands thing but I love the benefits of fresh veggies with dinner. :) Good job!
