2 in the bed and the little one said....

"There were 2 in the bed and the little one said, roll over, roll over".

That was one of my favorite songs growing up. I even did a skit to that at the cornbread review at our church and I was the baby at the end.

Here are a couple of pictures of Hank and his girlfriend Taylor Mae. My friend Loretta went and got her hair done so I watched her little girl for her today. It was my treat, I actually really miss Taylor when I don't get to see her all day. Hank and I are getting used to seeing them so much lately it has been so great to have such wonderful company.

The babies both had a bottle and a clean diaper and started to act sleepy so I piled them in Hank's bed and played Ocean Wonders for them on the ceiling. They talked to each other for the first five minutes then got sleepy pie! So sweet.

Check out his bandaids on his leg, he has 2 on each leg. He got his 2 month shots this morning, he was so sad when they gave them all 4 he cried so hard he was sweating poor baby boy! Hank weighs 10 lbs and 4 oz now and is almost 24" long!

Loretta and I have called ourselves the Mommy Coop because we help each other out. Tomorrow I am getting my hair done and she will watch Hank, then Aunt Jennifer is coming over so Loretta can go to her 4th grade daughter's Valentine Party. They are going to be sporting their new shirts we made this week. Here is a picture of mine they all 3 match.

Her daughter said "My Mommy is crafty now that you are around" I thought that was so cute!

Here are a couple of pictures from yesterday.....

Busy Week

So I was told that lots of people are still checking our blog daily and are disappointed when I don't blog at least every other day so Tammy this one is for you girl!

We have a very busy week this week. Yesterday Hank had a doctor's appointment in The Woodlands for his 2 month check up..... but we didn't wake up early enough so we were going to be 20 mins late and they told us to reschedule. That was fine with me because we had a Synagis Shot (RSV) appointment at the same office on Wednesday and I asked from the beginning if we could have those appointments back to back, but they originally told me the doctor wouldn't be in on Wednesday but conveniently he will be now! We also have a Urologist follow up today which is downtown, the appointment itself is easy to go to, but lugging the stroller through this HUGE medical center, parking in parking garages, and just trying to know where to go is the hardest part so I have asked my husband to join me for just this one. He is such a wonderful dad, and he knows I could do it if I needed to but he doesn't even give me a hard time about it, he knows I would like the help and he graciously just goes with the flow! I am one lucky girl.

Here is a fun picture of Hank trying to wear his big boy clothes 0-3 months still a little big but he is growing into them. He also got to wear his Sperry's, so they fell off a couple of times but they were still very cute... won't be long til they fit snug.

These were from last week.
Hank trying to tell me something.
All Smiles.

Happy Hank
This is bedtime, Hank in his Nap Nanny (an elevated comfy chair for sleeping)

2 Months of Blessings

He really kicked these over.

Happy Birthday Hank, 2 months old already!

I made him this cake today, of course it's really for myself, haha!

I love to dress him up and just take a ton of pictures of him.

I got this email today... please read.

hello, my dear. i look at your precious pix often and marvel at babie's progress! i first received the email from a friend in houston. as i looked today, i realized little hank was born the day my niece passed away in houston, after a 69 day battle with swine flu. she was 7 months pregnant when she was admitted, had a c section, 3lb. precious baby girl, totally healthy! she never got to hold or even see her baby. but god had a plan, altho we don't understand it now. it's been very hard for her mom, but she has little baby corbyn to love now. it's strange, how as one life ended that day, another was started, your little hank! please know how much it means for us, who pray, to see your little blessing. thank you for the updates. he's the most precious little darling. enjoy him.....from my home to yours......jeanie

This is so touching to us, we have never met Jeanie, she must have gotten a prayer request like so many others and followed our blog. God has used Hank's Journey to touch so many people. We have received many stories like this via email, snail mail, phone calls, through friends etc. We are truly blessed to watch God's Hand work through us.

Click here to read my last blog... I did 2 blog posts today!

A Great Weekend

On Saturday Hank went to see Noni, Trista, and Tammy..... Derric and I had a funeral so he stayed with them and played all morning! He had a great time and can't wait
to see them again real soon.

He is waving haha!

His sweet cheeks are really getting full.

This toy in the middle Hank loves, he like to grab it swing the rattle around,

it's really cute to watch him learn to do new things!

Mommy, Trista and Hank

He is really starting to smile.

We went to The Lamb house on Sunday.
My sister Ricki came into town from Florida this week and got to meet Hank for the very first time on Sunday. She gave him a bottle and rocked him and cuddled up, she was in Heaven! Hank also had a lot of fun with Aunt Stevi (my other sister) and his cousins Paxton and Reid. Oh yeah... and. there was this pretty small game on t.v. called The Super Bowl. I didn't really watch it though, I just ate all the yummy food and played with Hank.

Lots of Catching Up To Do!

Hank is just growing like crazy he weighed 9 lbs. and 13 oz. this week! He was having all kinds of gas with the breast milk and now is on the hypoallergenic formula and loving it. He did start having acid reflux like every other baby and their momma, haha! But with a little prevacid each morning we are good to go and one Happy Happy Baby!

Here are a few sweet pictures from this week. He is just now growing out of his newborn clothes so a few of these are me just throwing clothes on top of pjs to see what fits! Hope you enjoy!

Aunt Gabi and Jonathon
Hank listening to me talk, with his pjs I had made out of one of Derric's old college tshirts!

Hank's famous face for when he is trying to talk! He looks like he is singing opera!

Almost smiling....

Love this face... He really looks like an old man here!
Yes, I have an obsession with hats, I will admit it, but at least I am not throwing bows on him...

This was suppossed to be his Christmas outfit but it didn't fit and so now it's his Valentine outfit!

On this day he was all smiles, he had no idea he was fixing to have his little manhood surgery. He did really well with it .... poor lil' man, we had to walk down to grab a coke so we didn't hear his little cry, we felt so bad for him. It really hurt Derric to doctor him when we got home so I had to be Dr. Mom. He got pretty good at letting me put the Neosporin on after a couple of days.

We have had our fair share of doctors visits.... let me tell ya! Monday we went to the Cardiologist Dr. Numan to have his check up after surgery. Here are a few pics.

The nurse took his blood pressure while in his stroller, so he would be calm, so smart!
Align Center
He stayed pretty happy while she took his oxygen levels too!

Just chillin'

Hank remembers doing this everyday in the hospital.... EKG time!
He thinks he will take his paci for this one, he didn't remember Mr. John
like mommy and daddy did so he also wanted to hold Daddy's finger.
Mr. John reading the EKG, Hank had to be very very still for this.

This was actaully a very dark room. I jumped on the bed beside him and fed him a bottle while the ultrasound tech did an ECO on Hank. Dr. Numan came in and looked at it while she was taking it and the doctor said he looked awesome and that we wouldn't have to come back until July. Way to go Hankster, such a big boy with a strong heart!

Mommy always likes to give Hank a good bath after we have been at the doctor's office... Just like to wash the germs away if at all possible.

He fits into the tub better now.
Just checking it out.

Hank has really started to recognize Derric and Me. From across the room he can catch a glimpse of me and lock his eyes, it's so sweet.

He is also grabbing things like my necklace at most feedings and my tshirt, but we have been working with him on holding his toys and shaking his rattle. He does pretty good then just gets bored and throws it down.

We bought a black and white book this week at Target that he loves to look at the pictures. Derric says the bullseye is his favorite picture, but I told him I think it's because we go to Target too much, but Derric thinks it's because he's gonna be such a great deer hunter. We will just have to wait and see....

Goodnight Hank!
